What this website hosts, how displays connect, and the software behind the site.
This website
This static website provides documentation, firmware installation, and links to Android downloads. It has no sign-in, advertising, application database, or site-added analytics. Fonts and the installer library are served with the site.
Cloudflare hosts the website and processes normal request information. GitHub hosts release downloads and public issues, and processes activity on those services under its own policies. This website does not control those providers’ operational logging.
Your display and household data
USB flashing runs between your browser and the selected board. Wi-Fi setup happens on the Ink board’s local setup page. This public website does not request your home Wi-Fi password or pair with your display.
Hearthboard companions and displays use a paired local connection. Weather and configured service widgets can contact their respective services. An iPad feed host supplies supported Apple-side data. Hosting the website does not move those feeds to Cloudflare or GitHub.
Firmware features and storage protections differ by release. Do not assume that a local connection or encrypted network session means all data is encrypted at rest on every board. Read the release’s security notes.
Public support
GitHub issues are public. Remove household details, tokens, pairing codes, serial numbers, MAC addresses, and private routes before posting logs or images. Do not upload whole device backups.
The public repository contains website code, documentation, and selected release assets. The application and firmware source remain private.
Website notices
Android and firmware releases have additional third-party notices. The release packaging process includes the applicable notices alongside the binaries. Android, ESP32, Seeed, and TRMNL names identify third-party platforms or hardware; they do not imply endorsement.

- ESP Web Tools: Apache License 2.0. Used for the browser USB installer; its notices are included with the website project.
